What's In The Barn?

I partnered with Budget Dumpster for this project, and I couldn't be happier that I did!

Remember that time that we threw an epic 40th birthday party in our barn? If not, let me give you a little backstory (you can also see a video about it here). We live on what used to be an old dairy farm, and so naturally, we have an old dairy barn right in our back yard. When we first moved in, we had a LOT of work to do to clean it out, but I had visions of a beautiful loft area where we could entertain our friends and family.

As you can imagine, the cleanup was a little intense, and between the home renovations that we have done and the clean out of the barn, we have actually had FOUR dumpsters since we moved into this house, less than three years ago. Every time, we use Budget Dumpster. They are truly the best- we never have to deal with any hassle for pick up and drop off, and their prices are phenomenal. That’s not to mention their customer service, which is really top notch. If you know me at all, that is a HUGE deal to me.

Once the barn was all cleaned out, it was truly a blank slate, and as I mentioned, we transformed the top of the barn into a beautiful hangout spot. It’s nothing fancy, but we love to just hang out up there. Whether we are having some cocktails with friends or throwing epic bday bashes, we have made some of our favorite memories up there. It truly is a special place.

Before we made the decision to move, we had big dreams of making the barn into an event space, but I absolutely love hearing other ideas. Tell me- if you had a 7,800 square foot barn right in your back yard, what would you do??
